The person behind The Forge.
Who I am
My name is Ruben Gonzales Jr. Most people call me Seraph. I build things — websites, business systems, digital infrastructure. The kind of person who, when a friend says "I want to start a business," doesn't just nod encouragingly. I sit down and actually help them build it.
That's not a sales line. It's the reason The Forge exists.
I've spent years watching small business owners get handed a template website and then left to figure out the rest — the payments, the legal docs, the content, the systems that make a business actually run. Most of them figure it out eventually, but it costs time, money, and confidence they didn't have to waste.
Why The Forge exists
I built The Forge because I kept seeing the same problem: a great product, a committed entrepreneur, and a website that didn't do the job — or worse, no website at all.
The observation isn't complicated: most small business owners need more than a web designer. They need someone who understands the whole system — how a website connects to payments, how payments connect to operations, how all of it connects to the legal and content infrastructure that makes a business credible and sustainable.
That's what The Forge is. Not a web shop. Not a freelancer. A digital operations partner — someone who builds the whole thing and stays around to make sure it runs.
Casa Ascendente LLC
The Forge is the creative and digital arm of Casa Ascendente LLC — a company built around the idea that small businesses and their owners deserve the same quality of infrastructure that larger organizations take for granted. This isn't a side hustle. It's a long-term project, built to grow.
The motto lives in the name: Ascendemos Siempre — we always ascend. That's the standard every engagement is held to.
What you can expect
Direct communication
You work with me. Not a project manager, not a support ticket system. Me. I know your project, I know your business, and I respond promptly.
Honest scoping
I'll tell you what I think you need, what I think you don't, and what it's going to cost — before any work starts. No scope creep by design.
Quality work
I don't ship work I'm not proud of. Every site is custom-built for the client it's built for. No templates, no shortcuts on the things that matter.
A partner who stays
Six months after launch, I'm still here. The retainer exists because the relationship shouldn't end when the build does.
If this sounds like the kind of partnership you've been looking for — let's talk.
